民群村在品清湖东南岸，是革命老区，辖花树、大船路、石厝、鲎山四个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
最初是海丰县田墘七区的流安乡，后划入汕尾二区并改称民安乡，归东冲区；1958年公社化时为民安大队，后更名民群大队，归东涌公社；1989年设民群管理区；1999年成立民群村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
全村520户、约2500人，耕地250亩，种水稻和蔬菜，另有14个养殖池共450亩，主要养虾和蟹。村里有民群小学和花树小学。该村是省台办的挂点村，2008年在台商捐赠和政府资助共120万元的支持下，新建了两层的明德小学教学楼。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月获广东省卫生村称号。[1]
