关于村名，博雅地名网收录的说法是：据查，1796年至1855年间张、黄、郑、林等姓在此建村，居民以种田为生。[1]

建制变化：解放初期属粘锡乡，后改为龙道乡，1958年改为大队，1983年改为乡政府，1987年改为管理区，1999年成为村委会。[1]
