关于村名，博雅地名网收录的说法是：相传从前洋进坑、樟坝里一带有许多人采矿，溪水长期浑浊，村名由此而来。[1]
建制变化：1949年称乡，1958年成立大队，1983年改称乡政府，1989年为管理区，1999年改称村委会。[1]
