龙田村在怀集县永固镇西南部，南与诗洞镇相接，是永固镇人口最多的村，也是革命老村。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村名因山脉呈龙状、先民顺山势开垦的梯田远望如鱼鳞而来。[1]建制几经更名：先是大队（1958年），后改乡（1983年）、管理区（1989年），1998年起称村民委员会。[1]
