维新村位于惠州市博罗县公庄镇，是该镇所辖的行政村，行政区划代码441322104205。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：相传此地原有维子墩和出头沥两处。土地改革时，黄陂、维子墩、出头沥合并设维新乡府；1965年维子墩与出头沥并为一个大队，干部群众认为应沿用原乡府之名，称维新。[1]

清代归博罗县苏州巡检司辖；民国时属第六区文化乡；新中国成立后编入三区獭子乡。1958年10月，公庄人民公社下设维新大队；公庄区时期（1983年11月起）称维新乡；1986年1月撤区建镇后，成为公庄镇维新管理区；至1999年3月，改称维新村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
