历史沿革[edit]
村名由来：据查，明代洪武年间有位县官到公庄巡视，见八甲一带田地干裂、禾苗枯黄，决定在公庄河上游筑一道拦河坝（陂头）引水灌溉。八甲百姓为纪念这位县官，在水渠边修了一座神庙，称为陂头神，村名由此而来。[1]
清代归博罗县苏州巡检司辖，称陂头神；民国时为第六区文明乡的陂头神；新中国成立后编入三区獭子乡。1958年10月，公庄人民公社下设陂头神大队；公庄区时期（1983年11月起）称陂头神乡；1986年1月撤区建镇后，成为公庄镇陂头神管理区；至1999年3月，改称陂头神村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村（2026年1月）。[1]
