历史沿革[edit]
村名由来：清代咸丰年间，朱氏从本区迁到一座石山附近定居，村名即取「近石」之意。[1]
清代归博罗县苏州巡检司辖；民国时属第六区文化乡；新中国成立后编入三区獭子乡。1958年10月，公庄人民公社下设近石大队；公庄区时期（1983年11月起）称近石乡；1986年1月撤区建镇后，成为公庄镇近石管理区；至1999年3月，改称近石村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
