名称由来[edit]

村子原叫亨堂，寓意前路通顺、福气回到家里，后来改称坑塘。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年至1959年间为坑塘高级社，属朋情公社；1960年起称坑塘大队，1983年起叫坑塘乡，1986年起叫农村管理区，1999年起由坑塘村民委员会管理。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，该村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村；2023年4月，进入2022年度省乡村治理示范村创建单位名单；2019年10月，列入2019年广东省卫生村名录。[1]
