布塘村在新桥圩镇北面约3公里，辖布塘、塱底、坑塘3条自然村，全村面积4.6平方千米。[1]

村有3306人、888户，设有小学、卫生所、信用社分点及一些小型工厂和家具厂。[1] 2020年8月，布塘村入选广东省农业农村厅公布的首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产品为罗非鱼。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1952年之前布塘归高要二区的新江乡；1953年划入四区，1955年转归新桥区，1958年为新桥公社下的布塘大队。1983年起相继设乡、村委会、管理区，1998年改设村民委员会。[1]
