南兴社区是安铺镇南面的新建社区，原名南郊居委会，1999年起称南兴，下辖坡贞塘、革命村2条自然村[1][2]。

面积2.2平方千米，有412户、2081人，办公地在坡贞塘村；设有小学1所和文化娱乐广场，被称为省市宜居村庄[1]。

这两个自然村早年同属牛皮塘乡（1950—1957年），后并入胜利公社勤丰大队（1958年）；1961年另立坡贞塘大队，1963至1981年又并回牛皮塘大队；1982年划给安铺镇郊大队，1985年划建南郊管区，次年改作南郊居委会；2002年定名南兴社区居民委员会[1]。

2019年9月，南兴社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
