田头仔村是安铺镇的行政村，村前是草地水田，村后是山坡田，村民以田头仔为名建村，后分为上田、中田、下田，村委会设在下田村^[1]^[2]。

1953年起归属牛皮塘乡；其后1958年迁回下田村，称田头仔大队；其后1978年迁到田头仔小学西侧约20米处，属河堤公社；其后1987年起称作管理区，1999年起改称田头仔村委会^[1]。
