地理环境[edit]
村域面积8.73平方千米，半丘陵地貌，地质以石灰岩和深海沉积泥为主。2008年统计有水田面积1156亩、旱地面积355亩、山地面积4288亩、鱼塘面积58亩。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2008年全村人口2463人（758户），分散在5条自然村。[1]
经济[edit]
村民半农半渔，大力发展海水养殖，2008年有咸围面积2498亩，由各村小组发包经营，集体经济较为宽裕。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949至1957年称乡，1958年成为生产大队，1984年改称乡人民政府，1986年起改称村民委员会，1989年又称管理区；1998年10月，恩平市政府批准定名塘莲村民委员会。[1]
2017年10月，塘莲村被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予第一批广东省卫生村；2023年5月，该村的蟹塘村获2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
