地理环境[edit]
村域面积7.01平方千米。歪头鹰山脉在村境西面，山下是新潮盘地，属深海沉积泥地质。2008年统计有水田面积448亩、旱地面积23亩、山地面积5967亩。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2008年全村人口767人（238户），分散在5条自然村。[1]
经济[edit]
海水捕捞和养殖是村民的重要收入来源。1992年台商承包咸围面积400亩养殖对虾和蟹；2004年有蚝排养殖户15户，蚝排30亩；同年商人投资2500万元，在镇海湾边的新潮林场建成冶金石灰厂，设3条生产线，年产能力10万吨。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949至1957年为乡，1958年起称新潮生产大队，后改称新潮人民政府（1984年）、新潮村民委员会（1986年）、新潮管理区（1989年）；1998年10月，恩平市政府批准定名新潮村民委员会。2019年9月，该村名列「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
