沙坑社区是佛山市南海区狮山镇辖下的社区，原为沙坑村，2013年区划调整后归狮山镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

沙坑在明清时是南海县黄鼎司沙堤堡的辖地，民国后期改为五区沙堤乡。20世纪50年代，它曾与街边合并，由街边乡人民政府统管（1953年至1958年），并一度称街边生产大队；西隆人民公社在1961年设立，沙坑于是单立为沙坑生产大队。1999年起称村民委员会，2011年“村改居”设居委会，2013年区划调整后归狮山镇。[1]
