历史沿革[edit]
高边在民国时期是大圃堡的辖地，1963年大圃公社并入大沥公社后成为高边大队。八十年代，它依次改作乡（1983年）、村民委员会（1987年）和管理区（1989年），1997年再度称村民委员会。2011年“村改居”设居委会；2013年区划调整，这个原属大沥镇的居委会转归狮山镇。[2]
经济与概况[edit]
村情介绍（经博雅地名网转录）说，高边在大沥城区西面，321国道从村北通过，面积2.17平方公里，常住3635人，共7个村民小组，除璜溪、朗心、六溪外，还有高边的南北两组和张边的南北两组；这里长期是佛山市的水稻高产示范基地。2009年的数字为：工农业总产值6.29亿元，村、组两级纯收入3524万元。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
辖内璜溪村建于南宋末年，已有800多年历史，存有璜溪炮楼、秉裕书室等历史建筑，已被纳入狮山的乡村研学线路。[1] 据博雅地名网，璜溪古村落的建筑群朝向为坐南面北，以青砖屋为主，夹有镬耳屋，大多建于明清及民国年间。[2]
