大宅村在汕头市潮南区峡山街道东南部，四面溪流环绕，是潮南区的著名侨乡之一，旅外侨胞及港澳台同胞约三千人。村子2020年11月获「第六届全国文明村镇」称号，2023年1月被命名为「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1][2]

历史与现状[edit]

村域内旧有鱼踏寨、李厝围、下家、上家、河外、河内、宅大、大宅等自然村，居民有郑、卓、蔡、李、马、郭、高、黄、倪等姓。据百度百科，南宋宝祐元年（1253年）是建村之年；村里有传统民居865座，蔡氏祖祠允德堂2022年修复完工，侨史馆在2024年11月落成。[2][3]

全村900户、5311人，面积1.65平方千米，耕地751亩。当年工农业总产值3208万元。村内华侨学校占地近50亩，蔡衍涛、卓训宽两位旅港同胞带头出资，1988年建成；香港新发中英文学校2006年9月落成，出资人是旅港同胞郑木镇。[2]

2026年1月，大宅村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
