下东浦村在汕头市潮南区峡山街道西南，紧靠324国道，丹凤路穿过村境，中港大溪贯穿其间。博雅地名网写作下东浦村，原名夏东浦村，2020至2022年连续上榜淘宝村名单。[1][2]

全村1484户、8958人，姓氏有吴、连、庄、陈、李、曾、唐、郑，辖区土地一千七百多亩，耕地1568亩。2009年工农业总产值4831万元，人均年收入4771元。[2]

村里十家企业做印染、焊锡、羽绒、文具、塑料再生和牙刷；农业以水稻、番薯为主。民居有钢筋混凝土楼房、平房和传统的四点金、下山虎。[2]
