桥头社区是汕头市金平区鮀江街道东部的涉农社区，东临大港河，大学路穿境而过，办公地在桥升街73号。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，南宋初年（约1127年）这里是通商口岸的埠头，口岸上有桥，过桥便入乡社，故名桥头。新中国成立前鮀浦乡改称鮀东大队，下设28个生产队，桥头占12个。1996年12月鮀浦镇撤销，1997年鮀东居委分设桥头等4个居委；2001年12月并入鮀江街道，2003年属金平区。[1]

区域面积556240平方米，共有土地265亩，分耕地155亩与集体自用地110亩两类；集体收入以厂房、铺面、市场、土地出租、鱼池和耕地承包为主。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈思谦墓在社区内的石城山东麓，为汕头市文物保护单位，2005年8月16日公布；墓区占地3600平方米，含建筑面积340平方米的书斋，建于明嘉靖年间，2002年重修。陈思谦是鮀江都人，嘉靖五年（1526年）进士，曾任福建浦城、河北抚宁知县。[2]

2017年10月获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
