墩尾村是下洋镇下辖的行政村，建制始于1961年的墩尾大队^[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村于1961年设大队，1984年改为乡，1987年称村委会，1988年称管理区，1999年起为墩尾村民委员会^[1]。

2023年5月，村内西尾湖村、和家仔村、坎下村、大苏村、后桥村、藤厂村、桥头村、桐挖湖村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2026年1月，墩尾村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」^[1]。
