木坑社区是汕头市金平区鮀江街道的城乡结合部社区，位于206国道南侧，紧邻汕头大学，办公地在鮀济北路38号。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
南宋时此地为商埠，设鮀浦水寨，起初称鮀浦，后因处鮀浦镇东面叫鮀东。木坑原是鮀东的木坑片，1997年10月鮀东居委改制时，以此命名，沿用至今。此前隶升平区的鮀浦镇，镇于1996年12月撤销，改归鮀浦街道；2003年3月属金平区鮀江街道。[1]

区域面积493506平方米，鮀济河和鮀济南路从境内经过。[1]
