历史沿革[edit]
该村1958年设大队，1983年设乡政府，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1998年恢复村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
经济[edit]
村名与镇名同源，都因境内辽思河河水清秀而来。辖区内有两家民营水泥厂[1]。
秀水村有521户、2843人，水田779亩、旱地390亩、林地982亩，土地共2151亩；有贫困户195户969人、低保户45户90人。村设桥头小学和桥头卫生站。村属石灰岩山区，村民主要外出务工，全村零星分布着1000多亩果树；除梅秀公路沿线外，自然村尚未通水泥路[1]。
荣誉[edit]
秀水村以贡柑列入2020年8月公布的「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，又在2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」[1]。
