罗沙村在佛山市顺德区乐从镇西南面，距镇区约7公里，西邻南庄镇，南与龙江镇相接，面积约3.11平方千米，南宋咸淳九年（1273年）建村[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来由是罗氏最先到此定居，而地处江河冲积成的沙滩上[1]。南宋咸淳九年（1273年）建村，民国时属水藤堡，新中国成立后属水藤乡，1958年设罗沙大队，1983年起称乡，1987年起称村，1989年起叫管理区，1999年改称村委会[1]。
经济与人口[edit]
村情材料记常住4868人，1463户，流动人口8000多人；耕地1474亩，其中鱼塘1000亩，下设23个村民小组和1个股份社；有2个工业区，厂房、商铺、仓库300多间[2]。村委会投资建桥梁22座、村内主干道26公里，罗沙金沙路南接水藤大道、北连乐中路和佛山一环[2]。村曾获2006年佛山市生态示范村、2007年全国新农村建设专家调研点等称号[2]。
