潭口村隶属广东省广州市从化区鳌头镇，为镇辖行政村，村委会设在镇域东部。[1] 全村面积约8.94平方公里，村民小组共14个，村委会介绍的总人口为2253人（该介绍未注明年份）。村距从化城区约17公里，距鳌头镇中心镇区约15公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，潭口大队建立于1958年，原属龙潭公社；1961年改属民乐公社，1976年归民乐茶场管辖，名称变为潭口农业管理区；1987年1月定名潭口村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉与名单

  • 2019年9月，潭口村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
  • 2024年3月，潭口村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
  • 2026年1月，潭口村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」称号。[1]
  • 2026年1月，潭口村被认定为「2025年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]

村里的农业格局为：水田种水稻、花生，鱼塘里养四大家鱼、塘基上养瘦肉型猪。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的文化遗产普查推荐名单（历史建筑与传统风貌建筑线索）中，列有本村的大二队民居群、英事好祠堂、占氏家塾，共3处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[2]
