象新村是广州市从化区鳌头镇下辖的行政村，村委会设在镇域南部。[1] 全村面积约15平方公里，村民小组共16个，村委会介绍的总人口为2798人（该介绍未注明年份）。村距从化城区约24公里，距鳌头镇中心镇区约4公里。[1]

下塘村的存理李公祠是广州市文物保护单位。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1958年建立象新大队，到1983年12月改设为象新乡，到1987年1月改名象新村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。[1]

  • 2024年11月，象新村被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]

村里的农业格局为：水田种水稻、蔬菜和花生等。[1] 村集体经济方面，村集体增收靠引进的花卉种植生产项目。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

下塘村的存理李公祠始建于清雍正六年（1728年），占地约567平方米，坐北向南，砖木石结构。该祠2005年9月先列入广州市的登记保护名单，再到2008年12月，定为广州市文物保护单位（博雅地名网称第七批广州市文物保护单位）；正门右侧墙上有三幅壁画，画的是清末上海的街景以及火车、轮船行进的情景。[2]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的文化遗产普查推荐名单（历史建筑与传统风貌建筑线索）中，列有本村的会成李公祠、门楼，共2处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[3]
