历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，高禾大队建立于1958年，1963年与铺锦大队合并为锦禾大队，1980年分开后恢复高禾大队的名称；1983年12月两地再度合并，改设锦禾乡；1987年1月分出后，改名高禾村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。^[1]

村名取自驻地高禾塘。^[1]

村里的农业格局为：水田种水稻、花生，鱼塘里养四大家鱼、塘基上养瘦肉型猪。^[1]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的文化遗产普查推荐名单（历史建筑与传统风貌建筑线索）中，列有本村的李氏民居群、李氏宗祠、震贪楼，共3处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。^[2]
