黄茅村是广州市从化区鳌头镇下辖的行政村，村委会设在镇域南部。[1] 全村面积约16.33平方公里，村民小组共16个，村委会介绍的总人口为1828人（该介绍未注明年份）。村距从化城区约30公里，距鳌头镇中心镇区约9公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1958年建立黄茅大队，到1983年12月改设为黄茅乡，到1987年1月改名黄茅村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。[1]

据博雅地名网，村名的来历是：这里山丘起伏，茅草长得密，旧时房屋多用茅草盖顶，入秋后茅草枯黄，山上与屋顶连成一片金黄色。[1]

荣誉与名单

  • 2012年11月，黄茅村被农业部列为第一批全国一村一品示范村镇，特色产品为黄茅甜竹笋。[1]
  • 2020年8月，黄茅村（甜竹笋）列入「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单。[1]
  • 2024年11月，黄茅村被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]

村里的农业格局为：水田种水稻、花生，鱼塘里养四大家鱼、塘基上养瘦肉型猪。[1]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的文化遗产普查推荐名单（历史建筑与传统风貌建筑线索）中，列有本村的莲舫家塾、秋馨家塾、瑞蘋家塾，共3处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[2]
