上六村是阳东区新洲镇下辖的行政村[1]。
明末清初，信宜移民迁来此地定居。1951年设上六乡，1959年划入新洲公社，1987年成立上六管理区，1999年设立上六村委会[1]。
丹竹坑村又名白鹤村，属上六村委会，距新洲圩约15公里。村旁松林、竹林和果林环绕，二十多年来有白鹤在此栖息繁衍，村民与之相处和睦[2]。
2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
