据博雅地名网，村人口合计1380人，村民历来以种玉桂为主，近年种柑桔100多亩，并计划引进外资办养鸡场增加集体收入，水田种水稻。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前隶高要一区；1952年划归河台罗带乡，1958年划归乐城公社，名为五联大队，1959年划归河台公社，1983年建五联乡，1987年建五联村委会，1989年建五联管理区，1998年组建五联村民委员会。[2]
