古旁村在高要区西北部，距河台圩镇约2公里，面积约4000亩，辖4个自然村，河台金矿选矿厂就在村旁。[1]
概况[edit]
据博雅地名网，村辖13个村民小组，人口合计1500多人，有一条4米宽的水泥路通往圩镇。村里建起近千亩沙糖桔基地，年产量超过150万斤。2007年古旁村创建生态文明村，2008年自然村石田村创建生态文明村和省级卫生村。2019年9月，古旁村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前隶高要一区；1952年划归罗建乡，1958年划归乐城公社，名为古旁大队，1959年划归河台公社，1983年更名称古旁乡，1987年更名称古旁村委会，1989年建管理区，1998年更名为村民委员会。[2]
