历史沿革[edit]
岭东乡在1953年由岭东同北流、客家、东流合成，1958年改称岭东大队，1961年三村又分了出去。1966年一度叫向东大队；1984年和1987年依次改乡、设村民委员会。[1]
自然与经济[edit]
村三面有山，山上种有荔枝、蒲桃、番石榴等果树。据村情介绍，2003年村民1529人，外来人口1800多人，工业总产值约2亿元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年10月，岭东村列入广东省卫生村名录；2022年1月，被广东省乡村振兴局确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村，并被认定为「2025年广州市高质量充分就业街镇社区（村）」。[1]
