历史沿革[edit]
新中国初期设有新联乡，新联一村的前身即在其中，曾叫新益村、新明村，所属的区先后是中山县九区、十区和十五区。1958年公社化时改隶番禺县大岗人民公社，设新联一大队。此后1984年改称乡，1987年建村并成立村民委员会，再后来先并入潭洲镇、又归大岗镇。2008年全村土地被征收，村民搬进潭洲边的新联新邨。[1]
地理与经济[edit]
据村情介绍（年份未注明），全村占地5004亩，居住着2808名常住居民，分12个生产队；洪奇沥水道自西向东流经村旁，耕地共4804亩。1993年村里引进首家工厂，生产红砖；2002年镇里在村内划出500亩工业开发区，广州市石油公司的项目占地150亩。[1]
