中村是平台镇下辖的行政村。村名的来历是：驻地位于附近村庄的中心，初建村时称「中间村」，后来前后各取一字，定名「中村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村内以李姓最早迁入，现有夏、李、卢、刘、崔、莫、龙等姓。[1]

建国初为第一区中村行政村，1953年归黑河乡，1958年称中村大队。1983年设乡人民政府，1987年定为村委会，1989年划为管理区，1999年又为村委会。[1]

人居环境[edit]

2024年，中村村以8个自然村为单位开展人居环境整治，动员130余名群众参与，并探索生活垃圾处理收费等管护制度。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年4月，中村村列入2022年广东省「乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]2024年3月，中村村获「2023年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]2026年1月，中村村获评第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
