东井村为松竹镇辖下的行政村，在城乡划分中属镇乡结合区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1954年起归四井乡，1959年起为东井大队，1984年起为东井乡，1987年2月起为村委会，1989年起为管理区办事处，1999年定名为东井村民委员会。[1]
2019年9月，东井村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年8月，列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（水稻）；2021年1月，同时入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」和「全市先进文明村」；2026年3月，被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
