红光社区位于饶平县黄冈镇，1951年曾属黄冈镇第三办事处。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年归凤江公社，设为红光大队，1961年改隶黄冈公社。[2]1983年改为红光乡，1986年建红光居委会，1990年为红光街道管理办事处，1999年又称红光居委会。[2]

2019年9月，红光社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
