大坪村是潮安区归湖镇下辖的行政村，位于乡政府西南约3公里处。它东面与折藤坑毗邻，西南面与山犁村相接，南面与溪美村相连，北面与万峰林场的尖山脚、铁路坪交界。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化时，此地属群锋大队；1974年以主村名定为大坪大队；1984年改为大坪乡；1999年，此地改设大坪村民委员会，此名一直沿用。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

村中有曾、魏两姓。大坪村创于清雍正十三年（1735年），居民从梅县平远迁来此地定居。[1]

村内另有南社湖一处，清道光初年从凤凰九斗迁来定居。[1]

文化[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会将「2022年广东省卫生村」的称号授予本村。在2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中，本村于2019年9月入列。[1]
