历史沿革[edit]
地名由来：因此地地势平坦开阔，“平”谐音“坪”，故称大坪。[2]
1949年设河坪农会，1954年组成河坪初级社，1956年升格为高级社；1963年河村、大坪和张河坝片并为河坪大队；1983年从中分出，称大坪乡，1988年称大坪管理区，撤销管理区、设立大坪村委会，一直延续至今。[1]
