半星村位于洛阳镇东南部，统计用区划代码440232106205，村内地势高，据说名字缘于登高“摘星”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村中地势偏高，无论从哪个方向来都要翻越高山，仿佛登天摘星，故称半星。[1]1949年后先设半星乡，1958年为大队，1983年设乡政府，1986年成立村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年又设村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2006年的资料显示，全村有山林18000亩（原文作“万亩”）、耕地633亩，4个村民小组、6个自然村，92户、534人，经济总收入201万元，其中村集体收入5.8万元，农村人均纯收入3184元。[1]2019年9月，半星村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」。[1]
