新安社区位于长安镇中心腹地，北靠莲花山，西南临五点梅、马尾水库，地处珠江口东南侧，与虎门镇毗邻，总面积约8.5平方千米。[1]

社区下设6个居民小组。2025年底，登记户籍人口为4346人，另有非户籍常住人口八万余。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，元朝时期，福建蒲田人迁到此处，当时称吴村。此后一位陈姓泥水匠在吴村圩场「太宝圩」的出口处定居。[2]

1952年，此地与乌沙合并为乌沙乡；1958年公社化后属乌沙大队，1959年分开，称上乌沙大队。1963年改名街口大队，此后1983年又改设街口乡，1986年成为街口管理区，1998年设街口村委会，2005年村改居后改称新安社区。[2]

据东莞市人民政府门户网站，社区内约有1800多家外资及民营企业，规模以上企业逾80家，个体户三千家上下，产品主要集中于电子与五金。[1]

2025年，居组合计的总收入为3.32亿元，其中纯收入2.96亿元；截至2025年末，两级资产合计约32.15亿元。[1]
