大坪村在黎溪镇西部，东侧接恒昌村，南面与黎明村相接，西面以清远市飞来峡镇为邻，北侧是新村。村名来自村址所在山间盆地上一片平坦的大坪地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村址早年为大坪小乡，后经大队、乡政府、管理区等变化。1998年10月7日，大坪村委会得以重设，沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以耕种为主，主要农产品有黑皮冬瓜和砂糖橘。[1]

2024年上半年的工作总结称，大坪村白茫片、新田片的供水点已完成建设厂区及管道铺设，属于英德市「三镇一场」农村供水提升保障工程的一部分。[2]

2026年的巡察整改通报称，大坪村等供水工程仍在推进，新建拦水陂、管道、蓄水池、一体化供水设备和管理房。[3]
