新围村是紫金县古竹镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类属镇乡结合区。[1]

建置沿革[edit]

新围村由1958年的新围大队发展而来，隶古竹公社；1961年曾归古竹农场，1963年回到公社。1983年成立新围乡，1987年改称村委会，1989年一度设管理区，1998年复设新围村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，新围村被列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]

旧址[edit]

博雅地名网把中共东江特委旧址记在新围村桔园，并说1938年10月日军在大亚湾登陆后，广东省委决定设立西南、东江、东南三个特委。同一页面又把东江特委旧址写作古竹墟陈家祠新书房，两处位置的关系有待核实。[1]
