新围村是迳口镇下辖的行政村，村委会驻地在新围村，村名由此而来；1998年撤销新围管理区，设新围村民委员会。[1] 村委会辖区面积14平方千米，耕地2406.7亩，水田1822.7亩，下辖19个自然村，738户2575人（据博雅地名网所载村情，约2008年数据）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村民委员会设于1998年，管理区时期始于1987年。1961年起称新围大队，此前的1958年名为白贯大队。[1]
经济[edit]
人均收入约8714元、集体收入6.1万元（均为2008年）；主导产业为柑桔、花生种植和禽畜、水产养殖，当年柑桔种植1500亩。[1] 2021年12月获2021年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
