新围社区位于深圳市南山区西丽街道中部，东起大沙河，南到留仙大道，北抵西丽水库，面积约6.4平方千米，坐落在西丽一级水源保护区的中下游。[1] 社区由新围、官龙、九祥岭、留仙洞4个自然村组成，是农村城市化社区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
当地的说法是，明朝中后期从广东兴宁迁来的刘姓客家人建起新的村落，是新围村的雏形，清末民初建有刘氏宗祠，多次重修。[2] 约1910年，另一批从兴宁迁来的刘姓客家人建了官龙村；约1930年，从石岩、龙华等地迁来的居民建了九祥岭村；1947年，从鹤山等地迁来的郑姓客家人建了留仙洞村。[2]
新中国成立后这里称南头公社新围大队。1983年新围大队分出新围、大磡两个村委会；1992年9月农转非后称新围居委会，2001年10月起为新围社区居民委员会。[2]

社区材料称，辖区房屋1398栋，出租屋共25303套，商铺900多家，另有9个工业区约300家企业（该页未注明年份）；沙河西路与同发路贯穿其间，是西丽去往关外的要道。[1]
