西山村是广东省汕尾市陆丰市甲西镇下辖的行政村。此地在土改时已设西山乡，1987年起称村委会。村内以番薯为代表的特色产业，曾获省级专业村的认定。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土改时，此地先称西山乡，归第八区（两城区）。[1] 1958年公社化期间分出，另立西山大队，隶甲西公社。1983年复设西山乡，隶甲西区。[1] 1987年转为西山村委会，隸甲西乡；1994年改称管理区，划归甲西镇；1999年回到村委会的建制。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年9月，西山村因番薯产业进入广东省农业农村厅的第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单。[1] 西山村于2019年9月入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1] 广东省爱卫会于2020年12月命名西山村为「2020年广东省卫生村」。[1]
