长兴社区是海丰县公平镇镇区内的社区，位于新兴中路一带。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

名称来自社区里的长兴街。1950年属海丰建政二区公平镇，接着1952年改属公平乡，随后1953年起为公平区公平镇辖地，再后来1958年随入公平公社，此后1961年公平圩内编成四个居委会，它排第二，称第二居委会。1984年3月撤社建区后，因服装业和城镇建设的需要，在原镇区居民大队地域上建立第二居民委员会，接着2004年改称长兴社区。[1]
