新建村是兴宁市刁坊镇西南部的行政村，距镇政府约8公里，辖16个村民小组，142户、584人，面积约1.8平方公里，耕地554亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村子原属黄沙，后单独成立生产大队，因此叫新建[1]。1952年以前由福兴管辖，之后划归刁坊并入黄沙村；1979年自黄沙大队分出，1984年并入黄沙乡，1987年再度分出成立新建村，后改作管理区，1999年称新建村委会[1]。

经济[edit]

村里种水稻，据记载该年全村农村经济总收入399万元；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
