历史沿革[edit]
莲花一带早年先后属守望乡、新望乡，1958年归新望大队。1970年分出莲花大队，1987年设村委会，1989年改管理区办事处，1998年恢复村委会，2011年起叫莲花村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村土地约16平方千米，耕地900多亩；收入来自农业（茶叶、水果）、旅游、服务和运输业，村里还引进了一家矿泉水厂，可提供约300个岗位。[2]下辖的温厝村2021年底成为国家3A级旅游景区，村道沿线建有茶艺街、禅茶园、观景平台和观茶用的鸟巢形建筑等。[3]
荣誉[edit]
荣誉按时间排：2019年12月，入选第一批国家森林乡村；2020年8月，因绿茶列入省首批“一村一品”专业村，12月再获省乡村治理示范村；2021年5月，全省党建引领乡村振兴现场会选它作参观点；2022年初，评上“广东十大美丽乡村”，同年11月被定为全国综合减灾示范社区（2021年度）；2024年4月，进入省第一批乡村振兴示范村创建名单。[1][3]
