历史沿革[edit]
1953年设石庆大队，1983年改为乡，1987年起设村民委员会；1987年撤区设镇，石庆乡成为池洞镇石庆村。1989年又叫管理区办事处，1999年定名石庆村民委员会，一直用到现在。[1]
地名由来[edit]
从前村里有一块形似石屋的大石，石上刻有对联「石明盛州，庆祝长春」，取联首的「石」「庆」二字为村名。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网（未注明年份）载：全村在册623户、2892人，总面积4平方千米，耕地900亩；年平均气温16.5℃至22.8℃，年降雨量约1477至1941毫米，属南亚热带季风气候。主要作物为水稻和香蕉，特色收入是养殖，上一年村农村经济总收入1550万元。[1]

- 2023年5月，该村获广东省爱卫会颁发的「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
