红旗社区是梅州市丰顺县汤坑镇设置的社区居民委员会，位于汤坑镇城区[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

社区辖区的大部分，原是明末罗万杰所建「金鼎治安」的范围，当时设店铺二百余间，开设圩场、招徕商贾。乙酉年（1645年）三月二十九日开市，三天后改称汤坑圩，定农历三、六、九日为圩期，被视为汤坑镇集市的起点[2]。解放后称大东门社区居委会，「文化大革命」期间改名红旗居委会；东山居委会由其分出（博雅地名网的社区沿革称在1978年，东山社区条目则称1976年1月）；1999年改称红旗社区居民委员会[2]。
