红旗村是义都镇的一个行政村，位于圩镇一带，城乡分类为镇乡结合区。村名取“五星红旗”之意，起于新中国成立前后。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立前，这里属义都乡，在义都村的辖区之内。1958年归水贝公社，称义都大队；1962年改隶义都公社，仍为义都大队。1963年之后，从义都大队分出一部分，另立红旗大队。[1]
此后的变化依次是：1983年改为红旗乡，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1999年重设红旗村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年3月，红旗村被评为2023年度广东省卫生村。[1]
