东秀村是丰顺县汤坑镇所辖的行政村之一，位于汤坑镇东部^[1]。村名的来历是：取该大队东楼村（即李屋楼）的「东」字和河秀水村的「秀」字合成^[2]。2004年10月撤销附城镇后改归汤坑镇管辖^[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载：这里一向有六个自然村，建政时设有五个初级社和高级社；此后1958年成立东秀大队；随后1983年起叫作汤坑区东秀乡；再后来1986年起叫作附城乡东秀管理区；接着1999年起叫作东秀村民委员会；2004年10月附城镇建制撤销后，东秀村民委员会划入汤坑镇。^[3]

荣誉：在2026年1月被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。^[1]
